Photoshop Work

 One of the assignments was to learn how to use the different kinds of brushes that Photoshop CS4 had to offer. This painting was made using different brushes and blending techniques. Click here to view the original.

Fishing in the Spring- Van Gogh

 One of our other assignments involved visual puns. This was a tough yet fun assignment. The visual pun I used was Secondhand Shop. A second hand shop is a shop where you buy used goods, but I portrayed it as "I can really use another hand to help finish this job." I learned how to use the selection tools better and how to use the blur tools to make things appear at a distance.

This was one of my favorite assignments. We had to choose an Ogden Nash poem, create an image based on that poem, and advertise it as a poster/postcard for a show. The location I chose was the MoMA. We learned how to use blending modes and how to merge different images to make it look like a single image. The jack in the box has the following items:

Ogden Nash poem- The boy who laughed at Santa Claus

One of our last assignments was the "Anti/Pro War Billboards." We had to choose a subject and advertise it as a war for or against it. I have a strong belief against abortion, so I decided to make my billboards for anti-abortion. I mostly used all the skills I learned to render the pictures and make them fit on the picture to make it look like billboards.
